I was inspired off of "The Dark Tower" movie posters and made this real quick. But clearly it isn't as dramatic, i was thinking of putting in a new backwards facing image of me, and adding more contrast between the sky and the city.
Yes, and I agree as well. Contrast is needed. What other type could be added? This is a personal project, right? I'm not sure what meaning you want this to have, but it's worth continuing it. I wonder, as an idea of typography treatment, whether you might want to play with the "upside down mirror" effect that would reinforce the upside down part of the image. You have lots of room at the top of your design to add type and consider how it can add to the concept behind the work.
I like the concept. I feel like it would be a little stronger if you figure was looking up a little towards the city above him rather than down, though.
Yes, I agree with your comment about adding contrast into the sky. Just needs an adjustment in brightness and contrast.
