Really nice layout and placement of elements and text. Everything looks great, maybe work on the path of the text below the leaf so that it hugs around the leaf better.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Gina, and it's something I mentioned last semester... that curve is really important to the composition. Because this is becoming a stand-alone project (right?) - we need to write new copy. This is clever enough to be an editorial illustration in a publication layout, or a poster design with some environmental quote or information about carbon release from our building infrastructure. A little research should give you some info to rewrite for use here.
ReplyDeleteFrom the Journal of Earth Science and Climate Change:
Climate change has become an undoubted environmental challenge in last couple of decades in every continent and all sectors across the world. It occurs due to increase in temperature of atmosphere by burning of fossil fuels and releasing of greenhouse gases. These days, vast quantities of fossil fuels have been used for energy source to power the economy of a country. This scenario significantly contributes to a large percentage of carbon dioxide emissions. By comparing with other economic sectors, it was reported in the literature that the consumption of energy in buildings accounts for about one third of the total consumption and responsible for an equal portion of carbon dioxide emissions in both developed and developing countries. In order to have a deeper understanding into existing knowledge concerning this area, this paper presents a review on building energy consumption and its related carbon dioxide emissions as threat to climate change.

I agree that the text can hug around the leaf better. It is a unique design with parts of the leaf forming into buildings that supply the smoke. It helps stick out from the green and white from the poster.
ReplyDeleteThis is my favorite of the preservation pod designs, it's just so unique! I see Coni has already suggested some changes to the type, but if the headline stays the same you should remove one of the dots from the ellipsis. It's a small thing but yeah there should only be three. That's really the only thing that bothers me though it looks awesome!
