Mount Wachusett Community College, in Gardner MA offers a 2-year program for Graphic and Interactive Designer students. This final course in the GID program helps students assemble and present their best work produced in the program. This blog is produced by the GID Portfolio class under the direction of instructor Coni Porter.
The hands in the 3 images down, feel otherworldly and match with the portal, maybe that's what you were going for though, if anything maybe a little more contrast between the hand and portal. And maybe center the "time in lines" on the 3rd image.
ReplyDeleteIn looking at all of these, I would suggest that you simply drop #3. It has significant issues that the other 2 do not, and a 2-ad campaign is just fine for your portfolio. If you miss #3, you can always return to work on it after the semester is over.
ReplyDeleteI notice that the bright pink type in #1 and #2 seems poorly kerned, and wonder if you have added tracking to the lines of type? The letters are simply too far apart, so please check that. AND, I also suggest you reduce the pt size of your font. It is hot pink, sits at the top - and in both cases appears to be squished into its position. Reducing it significantly might allow it to become just 1 line heading, and fit more easily into that area. Clearly, the color will not allow us to miss it - so don't let it conflict with the action in the composition - reduce it.
Lastly, I wonder if you want to add a line of type at the bottom of each ad that might say "Let Us Come to You!". Adding "TheSource.com" would answer any questions about how the order could be placed.
They look great. The photos are put together very well. I agree with what Coni says about the third one, it doesn't feel as complete as the others.
