I changed the color to reflect the baseball stadium. However I feel like the black and white text may be hard to read.
I love the change! It really brings it all together as a finished piece. It's hard to tell with the resolution of these images but I don't THINK there should be an issue with legibility. I noticed that in the list of stadiums the text is still blue, maybe just change that so it matches the new color scheme? Aside from that it looks great.
1. I can see that you have picked up the reddish tan from the field - which is exactly what you should do when working with images - find a color from within the image to use elsewhere. However, now if you feel like it is too dark, or too light, or a bit too red, you can adjust the color to work in your design.
Consider playing around with it a bit more, making minor adjustments to the color to see what you think, and to make sure it works everywhere it needs to work. In fact, consider using 2 versions of that tan - maybe sample the pitcher's mound?? You will then have a lighter color to use when needed.
2. The only hard-to-read area is the Tours box. I believe it may be because the shape of California is adding a distraction to the background. I like the concept, so... make it work. The shape should be just a little different from the background color, not much of a contrast. And, it certainly doesn't need a drop shadow. Center and reduce the shape a bit, so it doesn't touch the edge of the frame. Make this the last thing we see, after reading the type on top of it.
3. Lastly - make sure your big numbers are sitting consistently in their frames. Maybe leave a bit of negative space between them and the top edge of the frame.
Question - do you need the black stroke around the frames? I see that the top right frame does not have a stroke... and I think I prefer it to the others. But, be consistent with that decision, what ever you decide.
This is going to be a strong project for your portfolio.
