An updated version of my magazine. On the cover, I added a drop shadow to the subtitle to make it more visible to read and I made the barcode smaller.
On the contents page, I filled the space on the bottom right with social media icons so it's not empty.
On the spread, I added the same social media icons, and I made the footer bar shorter.
Love the changes, it looks great! My only concern is that the contents page still feels a little empty, and I think it's because of how monochromatic it is compared to the other pages. I'm not entirely sure how to fix this though, maybe if the word "Contents" or the area around it had some color it would improve things.
ReplyDeleteThe way the pinks and blues show up on each page helps make it feel all connected. The word 'Contents' being cut off feels kind of jarring but that's just me.
ReplyDeleteThis seems quite finished to me, and the pages are well balanced... so I'm not sure you need to add anything to any pages (in my opinion). I do think, however, the subtitle on the cover is not as readable as it could be. Have you tried to place it into/onto a color bar, which I see is your approach in other places?
