Almost done with this, I still have to trim down the edges to fit. Any ideas for changing the content?
Mount Wachusett Community College, in Gardner MA offers a 2-year program for Graphic and Interactive Designer students. This final course in the GID program helps students assemble and present their best work produced in the program. Excellent illustration. Looks good but I think it will be easier to tell when the piece is finished and not surrounded with white.
ReplyDeleteThe artwork is done, so now it's time to really look at the typography and color of text. The color contrast here is not enough to be an easy read. White or light grey might be an option. The good news is that the red and dark gray backgrounds are very similar in value, so you just need to find a few colors of light value to work.
ReplyDeleteI also question why you would center the body copy next to his head/body. This isn't a good choice - a better choice I think would be to wrap the type to his head/body. You may need to reconsider using all caps for those sections, and find a bolder font to use.
Lastly - look at the line spacing in your subhead
Fiction is the Truth Within the Lie". Does that second line appear to hug the very bottom of the background shape? Reduce the line spacing, and pull it back up to where it belongs - chunk the type in sections in the way we read it.
