Project 2 - Rework / Final - Brewed- Nicole Wetherby

Here is the final version of Brewed Magazine. Any feedback would be appreciated, I am happy with the final design.  Could you all overlook to see if there are any minor tweaks that need to be made?

I redesigned the Contents page added some color behind the Brewed nameplate on the cover and masked the photo so it looks more three dimensional.  I cleaned up the glass and edge on the spread and put a mask on the coaster for more dimension.

  1. The changes are small but poignant and I think they make a big difference. What I would say is this: You almost have the mask done on the glass. Go back and revisit one more time to make sure it's as smooth as an actual glass. Also, on the photo on the contents page, consider adding a double stroke border like you previously had around the title of the page, or maybe round that one corner, or something, it just feels a little too sharp but maybe that's just me.

  2. Yes, that mask on the glass is important - use the pen tool in Photoshop if necessary to create a smooth path, then use it to make the mask. Small detail - make sure to use that clipping mask (made in Photoshop) in the Text Wrap dialogue box, to assure the text wraps around the whole glass (notice the type that almost crashes into the bottom of the glass).
