This final course in the GID program helps students assemble and present their best work produced in the program. What holiday is this? Red, yellow and gray... these colors may not help us identify quickly which holiday is having the party.
ReplyDeleteIf the name of the business is Maldonado Inc., then the words need to sit together on the top line, and the word "presents" should be smaller and sitting in a creative manner below it. (Is there a banner or border that could be incorporated with this small word "presents"?
Is there a way to place the words "Holiday Party" onto the plate (rather than on top of the image)? As if it is taking the place of the food? That might be clever.
Do you need the words" Where, When, Food Options"? If you do, then please know that we can't read black against the red enough for them to be helpful.
Lastly, because centering all those lines of type is simply not the most interesting way to work with all this type - please set up a grid (maybe 3 columns?) and experiment with how the type could be "chunked" and set into the grid with an eye for well designed negative space.
You have your elements... next step is to experiment with how they can be placed/sized/colored to work together to give your reader the info they need in a clear, creative way.
Did you place the fork and knife on top of the plate yourself or did that image come like that? I feel like they're missing a shadow between them and the plate, but it could be my imagination.
