Project 5

This project was an assignment where we had to use two words that we could use an animal with to help send a message. I have updated the text and would like feedback on what I can update.

  1. I love the way the text curls around the snake, it feels organic and gives it a sense of motion. I think the background could use some work. The pixelated plain seems harsh compared to the curvilinear nature of the snake. I also think the background is a little too saturated at the moment so that it distracts from the snake, but I don't know if this would be the case if the background image used softer shapes as I mentioned above.

  2. The background seems kind of random, unless that is what you were going for. I think the text wrap around "change is natural" could wrap around more.

  3. I do wonder whether the background is simply a bit too dark... consider "ghosting" it so that the snake and the wrapped type are more inviting to read. Reading this, I would suggest a bit of editing would go a long way to helping us understand the message. And, if the small wrapped type could give us what we need... I don't think you even need that 2-word title (is it even a title?). So - I suggest you return to the small text here, consider changing it to a sans serif so it can sit on the curved baseline more easily, look carefully at the way it wraps and be consistent with how far it sits from the snake edges, and rewrite the lines that sit inside the center of the snake because this is actually the first text that a reader would read (because it is easier to read than the wrapped type). A great inspirational message and well-drawn snake!

  4. I feel like the background can be rather distracting from the snake.

  5. The snake looks great, I like the colors of the snake and it's well drawn. I agree with everyone else, the background is a bit distracting. The words to the right are a little distracting as well maybe curling them with the snake as well?
